Beach and sun |
The combination of sun, sand and water spells fun whether you simply want to lie around and relax or get to the beach or water to enjoy all the activities that it has to offer. Latin America stretches from the north of the equator to way right down to its south so you have the possibility of sun and beach the whole year round; and it’s here where you will find some of the most luxurious beach destinations and resorts in the world, in fact, you will be spoilt for choice. Nowhere else in the world the expression “life is a beach” is so close to reality. Latin America’s iconic beach destinations lives up to its reputation even more so in the 21st century as more and more luxurious resorts are developed. Among the most famous beaches in the world are Copacabana and Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro. But South America has many more luxurious offerings, such as Buzios y Paraty in Brazil, Punta del Este and Punta del Diablo in Uruguay, Jaco in Costa Rica, Mancora in Peru, and Cartagena and the Carribean coast in Colombia. Mexico has the highest concentration of amazing beaches in the world. They include the Carribean coast of Cancun and Riviera Maya with its stunning aqua-blue waters and white-sand beaches and many super luxurious adults-only all-inclusive resorts such as Secrets Maroma, with many more for beach-loving kids. The Carribean island of Cozumel with fair share of typically beautiful white-sand beaches coupled with a number of rocky beaches is ideal for snorkeling. Puerto Vallarta on the other coast of Mexico is the second-largest natural bay on the continent with miles and miles of world-class beaches, and nearby is the super-exclusive Riviera Nayarit with St Regis Punta Mita and Four Seasons Punta Mita. In Baja California further east is Los Cabos, where the beaches are not just beautiful, they offer diverse possibilities with some amazing resorts for some real pampering and restaurants for the delicious taste of the Pacific. Latin America also has the most remote beach in the world, and this distinction, of course, belongs to Easter Island, Chile, the most remote inhabited island on earth. Here you get some unique culture and food and certainly isolation with your beach and sun. In Latin America, you can maintain that healthy glow naturally, and that beach lifestyle, all year round. |
